What does Simmelmarkt do?
The Simmelmarkt in Dresden’s Neustadt district sells regional and high-quality products and food. What sets it apart from other supermarkets? The family business, which was founded in 1981, takes responsibility in all areas: from customer focus and an appreciative corporate culture to environmental awareness and high quality standards.
Where did the shoe pinch?
The Simmelmarkt on Albertplatz wanted support in building its image in order to increase brand awareness and highlight its unique selling points. In the course of this, the focus was particularly on increasing awareness and acceptance of the new market.
How could we help?
We set up an image campaign for Simmelmarkt that consisted of several parts. In order to impressively convey the company’s vision and values to customers, we developed the claim “Simmel’n gehen…ein Genuss” (Go Simmel’n…a pleasure) and distributed it via social media and out-of-home advertising with posters in the city and on public transport. The most important thing here was that the claim should work on all communication channels. Of course, the graphic design of the campaign was also a must, for which we used the corporate design and colors from the leitmotif.
To create the images for the image campaign, we did a photo shoot with employees and customers. Real people create closeness and build trust. That’s why it was important to us to convey an authentic image of the Simmelmarkt to the city.
What else followed?
As part of the campaign, we relied on additional accompanying branding measures. These included traditional press releases, an image distribution campaign of Simmel breakfast bags with local products and the implementation of regional sports sponsorship activities. We also organized a large summer festival in the district and used the social media channels.
